walk in the woods - with

Sometimes rooms are too small, and computer games are not entertaining enough to occupy Stiles' mind. Homework is out of the question and of course this is the one saturday Scott chooses to spend with Kira. It's not that Stiles is dependent on his best friend, of course not... But sometimes he is, and Stiles still doesn't have many friends.
These times he usually goes and takes a walk in the preserve. He knows it's not the safest thing in the world, but he's making sure he sticks close to the Hale property. He feels safe around there. Maybe because of Derek. But Stiles is not thinking much about it as he's walking, and just... trying not to think of too many things. Sometimes it gets too overwhelming and weights him down, wanting him to disappear... But he can't let that happen, there are people counting on him and there could be another crisis anytime.
Stiles rubs his forehead with a sigh as he stops, just looking around at the trees and fallen leaves, trying to just take in all the woods instead of the hideous things his own mind wants him to think about.

He found Stiles in the middle of the forest by one of the more unused paths. By humans that is. He walked closer, momentarily forgetting that he was in a wolf shape. Once he was in sight of Stiles he stopped and wagged his tail before heading closer in an unthreatening manner. As he closed the distance between them, he friendly buffed Stiles. he knew he was in wolf form but he was feeling curious and playful. Besides he didn't want be naked in front of Stiles. Not when they was in the middle of a forest at least.

"Hey there buddy..." Stiles blinked when he saw the dog... wolf, dog. It must be a dog, Stiles told himself, he was just being paranoid. "Hey, are you lost?" he asked and held out his hand for it. Because yes, the dog approached him, but Stiles was still smarter than just to reach to pet it before he knows it's fine. "You scared me there for a second."

"You remind me of someone." he said quietly with a sad smile and slowly, knelt down to the wolf and brushed his head with his hand. "Are you alone?" he asked, then laughed a little shaking his head. "Look at me, talking to dogs now. I mean... asking actual questions and stuff. I must be really... desperate, huh?"

"I always wanted a dog, but my dad didn't think I could take a good care of it." he muttered. "Maybe he's right, you know, maybe I can't really take care of a dog. Or anyone, for that matter." he added quietly, a bit thoughtful. Damn, he didn't want to say that out loud. But thankfully no one was around to hear it.

"You're a good listener." he chuckled. "And I talk a lot, I know I just can't stop sometimes, you know. So many things to say... and yet I still end up saying nothing. Just meaningless words no one cares about." he sighed again. "What's your name? Do you have any? If not I'm gonna call you Robin. Because I'm Batman, so you can be Robin." he smiled. "You knew... that Robin is there for Batman to anchor him? To stop him when he's about to do something too cruel? Yeah, rad, huh?"

Stiles chuckled a little and sat down pulling the wolf closer to him. He stroked his black fur a bit more before he pulled it to himself, sliding his arms around its neck.
"Hey Robin." he sighed and just held the wolf for a while, without saying anything. "You're really warm." Stiles muttered, stroking the black fur of the dog. "I like you." and yes, it was warm and calming to hold onto something like this. Someone who didn't push him away, and told him to shut up, just let Stiles hold him. It felt nice and Stiles for a second felt a bit alone.

Stiles sighed and pulled Derek tighter to himself. He stroked his fur gently with a sigh and chuckled softly at the bark.
"I'm glad you agree." he said quietly. Stiles felt like he could stay here all day, just hugging this dog. Maybe it won't solve anything, but he would feel better. "I wonder if you have an owner. Or if you're heading somewhere..."

"Wow... uhm, wow. Okay I..." Stiles starts. "I-- okay, I think I'm-- gonna go." he swallows, feeling a little embarrassed.

"I can give you a lift if you want. We could talk. You seemed distressed earlier. I'm sorry about deceiving you but there wasn't much I could do. Can't talk while a wolf and I couldn't just leave you there either," Derek replies in a warm tone. He cares about Stiles and he understand his embarrassment. But he doesn't want Stiles to feel worse. Therefore he attempt to make light of the situation in his body language and voice.

"What if I'm wasn't ready to share those things, huh?" he swallowed, crossing his arms. Stiles actually was just afraid, that if he shares any of that the others will think he is weak and useless. And those were the two things he didn't want them to think...

"We're pack Stiles, we take care of each other," he then said with a pointed look.
no subject
"Yes, we're pack and yes we care for each other!" he said, turning to Derek. "But that- that also means you respect me when I don't want to tell you things. Because I don't want to tell you... because I don't want you to think I'm- I'm useless." he swallowed, digging his fingers into his hair. "I'm going home." he starts and moves to leave.

He watches as Stiles turns to leave. The comment doesn't fall on deaf ears. He understand that it must be hard for him. Wolves are competitive, that's how the settle the hierarchy. But Stiles doesn't fit in as good because he's a human. naturally he would feel that way. He then reaches in and hits the horn.
"Stiles, let me give you a lift home," he calls out

"Stiles. Get in or I'll shuffle you into the car," he spoke and lazily watched the human.

"God damn it, Derek, can't I have a walk for myself?! Or do you want to listen to more things I don't want to tell you, is that it?! You'd force me to talk to you?" Stiles asked, flailing with his arms a bit angrily. He knew he should get in the car and he wanted to, but he was angry at the wolf.

Stiles huffed and crossed his arm. He didn't want to get in the car, he didn't want to talk to Derek and these woods were his second home, he was coming out here a lot to have adventures...
But in the end he groaned and stopped, turning toward the car with an angry expression. Stiles was biting her lips to not to say anything to Derek. He was determined to keep quiet.

"Then at least fucking pretend it never happened." Stiles huffed, crossing his arms. "I don't- I don't want to talk about it anymore. Just take me home."
