Having a good time

Stiles licked his lips as he was looking around the place. He could barely believe it was this day, this damn day. The day he would go to college. It was still registration week and his father just left him to get comfortable in his dorm, with Scott.

Stiles was going to college with Scott! And they were roommates even. This will be the best few years of his life, Stiles grinned as he caught Scott's eye, carrying a large box.

The dormitory was buzzing with people moving in, seniors ordering the freshmen around and freshmen asking for directions, completely lost. Not Stiles, no. He was looking up the floorplan of campus, he knew every building, every teacher's office. Everything. He won't get bullied, he decided. This won't be like high school, he can be a nerd in peace. With Scott.

He was grinning like a stupid idiot as he was thinking about it, walking the dormitory corridors toward his room, carrying the last of his boxes with his stuff in them.

 Sometimes rooms are too small, and computer games are not entertaining enough to occupy Stiles' mind. Homework is out of the question and of course this is the one saturday Scott chooses to spend with Kira. It's not that Stiles is dependent on his best friend, of course not... But sometimes he is, and Stiles still doesn't have many friends.

These times he usually goes and takes a walk in the preserve. He knows it's not the safest thing in the world, but he's making sure he sticks close to the Hale property. He feels safe around there. Maybe because of Derek. But Stiles is not thinking much about it as he's walking, and just... trying not to think of too many things. Sometimes it gets too overwhelming and weights him down, wanting him to disappear... But he can't let that happen, there are people counting on him and there could be another crisis anytime.

Stiles rubs his forehead with a sigh as he stops, just looking around at the trees and fallen leaves, trying to just take in all the woods instead of the hideous things his own mind wants him to think about.

[Stiles takes his time with his bath even if he said he will be quick. Maybe he really just wants to be alone for a while and collect himself. He felt so helpless the past few days and he's not used to it. He's also not used being saved by Peter of all people. That's certainly just as big of a shock as the whole kidnapping thing. And he had to say all those weird things to the man and yes he might be just a tiny little bit embarrassed. It must have been the heat of he moment!

Stiles gets out of the wooden tub when the water is already gone cold and dresses up, his hair is still a little wet. He hesitates opening the door for whatever reason. But in the end he does, slowly walking out.]
